Day 17 (1/22/2025)

Focus: Sin
Theme: Confessing and turning away from sin
Scripture: I John 1:9, Psalm 51:10, & Romans 6:12-13

I John 1:9
9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

Psalm 51:10

10 "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Romans 6:12-13

12 "Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness."

Today's Prayer

Heavenly Father, I come before You today with a heart of humility and repentance. I confess the sins that I have committed, both knowingly and unknowingly, and ask for Your forgiveness. Cleanse me, Lord, and create in me a pure heart that desires to honor You in every thought, word, and action. Help me to turn away from anything that separates me from Your love and to live a life that reflects Your holiness. Strengthen me to resist temptation and to walk in the freedom and righteousness You have given me through Christ. Thank You for Your mercy and grace that are new every morning. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Reflection Questions
1) What sins or habits do I need to confess and surrender to God today?
2) How can I replace sinful behaviors with actions that honor God?
